Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I use a ‘broker’ rather than an ‘agent’?

For your Auto or Homeowners insurance, you can go to an agent or direct insurers for your quote, however for your business, you should always use an independent insurance broker in order that you receive impartial advice, rather than advice skewed to a particular insurer.

Insurance brokers offer a more efficient means of accessing numerous insurance companies on your behalf and they negotiate with them on your behalf. Insurance brokers do not just place your insurance risk, they carry out an important advisory role, essential for companies with complex insurance requirements. They advise you what and how much cover your Company requires and update you on changing legislative compliance.

Quality insurance brokers offer access to such specialist areas as risk management and disaster recovery advice, which will reduce your Company’s exposure to risk – essential to any business.

What should I do in the event of a claim?

Our opening hours are 9am till 5pm, Monday to Friday. You cannot notify us of claims outside of office hours, however we cannot take any action outside of office hours, until the next working day. Your insurer may have a 24 hour emergency helpline for you to call and access their claim services and you should check your policy documentation in the event of a claim.

Once our office is open, please notify us of any claims as soon as possible.

What if I need to make amendments to my policy outside of business hours?

Our opening hours are stated above. You can not make amendments to your coverage outside of our business hours, nor can coverage be put in place outside of business hours. Please be aware that emails requesting amendments will not be processed until both our office and the Insurers office are open.

Any emailed amendments requested to be made to your policy need to be confirmed either over the telephone or in writing to ensure that they have been received. This is especially important where the changes are required late on a Friday, we need to confirm that there is enough time to process the changes.
